Split Screen
How to enable Split Screen –
- Both Applications must be installed on the Dock (refer to Dock Introduction)
- Open one of the desired Applications
- Slow Swipe from the bottom of the iPad Screen to bring up the Dock
- Tap and Hold on the second desired application
- Place Application on Screen
- You will notice the Application has opened but will see a small horizontal line at the top of the Application
- Swipe down on the small horizontal line to place the Application in a split mode
Features of Split Screen –
- Once both Applications have been placed you will notice the Black Line separating pages
- In the middle you will see a grey horizontal bar which will control the width of Applications on the screen
- Tap & Hold to Increased or Decrease size
Safari –
By pass tabs
- Tap and Hold Link
- Select View in Split Screen
Scenarios on how Split Screen can be Productive –
- Safari & Mail
- Safari & Text Messages
- Text Messages & Mail
- Photos & Text Messages
Drag and Drop –
Transferring content between Applications (ex. Sending a photo)
- Have both desired Applications open in Split Screen
- Tap and hold on desired item and drag to next screen
- Sending Photo’s, copying links, inputting information into an email could never be easier
Not all Applications are compatible with Split Screen.
